lyrics

by Billy Degge

Two swans mated
Primal hunger sated.
They are bear bit.
For love is coat for shit.

Beseeched me once before.
Presentiment close her door.
“If I could I would”
Well perhaps I should

Seasons crawl and wall crack.
Sedulous queen to my providential jack.
“Compared to mine it’s nothing”
Well to me it was something.

It hit home.

Star gazed and head all burn.
Fall inline but never learn.
So pathetic.
Yet I let it.

Stranded in a park.
Run the night dark.
“Just let it fade”
Sky fire lights parade.

My Babylon is raised.
She shifts my gaze.
“I just want to let you know”
The tower melt like snow.

It hit home.

All the feats, you’ve done for me.
I try and yet I fail to see.
So pathetic.
Why not end it?

Sit under blanket sky.
She need not tell a lie.
“Boy I’m stuck with you”
Neither knows what’s true.

I boil and broth like tar.
I cease to carry far.
“We’re stuck fast like glue”
As long as I’m near to you.
(One need not come to two)

All your leafs help
Unbound madman’s sleeves.
Your fire go and spread it!
Swim don’t you tread it!
